Etiquette Tips When Riding a Limousine

Every person out there likes to ride a limo. They are one of the best parts of the event. Whether it is a night out, an anniversary, a bachelorette or bachelor party, a birthday party, a prom night, or a wedding event, a high-quality limo service is always the best.

Though the idea of renting a limo is to have fun while riding, there are a couple of excellent general rules you need to follow.

If it’s your first time riding a limo, don’t worry. We are here to help. Here are several etiquette tips you can follow when riding a Waikiki limo service

Always Tip the Driver

There are a couple of rules you need to follow when tipping the limo driver. For example, if you have rented a limo for a special event, you will have to tip the driver around 20% of the rental fee. This is particularly true if the passengers in the limo got wild inside.

On the other hand, you’ll need to tip the driver 15% if it is only for a normal ride to the airport or a business trip.

Don’t Get Too Wild Inside

As much as possible, you should leave the limo as clean as you first enter it. Professionals do not recommend leaving wrappers, cans, or empty bottles inside.

Also, you should not have a food fight inside. This means you need to avoid throwing drinks or food at your friends inside the car.

Furthermore, don’t walk on the seats. Keep your feet on the floor at all times. You should take what you brought in when you leave the car.

For those who don’t know, there are a couple of limo rental companies who will charge the customer an additional fee if the car is a mess when they return it.

Understand the Rules

When you rent a limo, the rental company will give you a list of rules you need to follow. For instance, some companies don’t allow passengers to smoke inside the limo. Thus, you need to follow this rule.

Also, you should ask the company if you’re allowed to drink inside the limo. In general, they allow this. However, some companies don’t allow alcoholic beverages inside. When you’re inside the limo, always be respectful to the driver. You should not be obnoxious. Also, do not disturb the driver when he is driving.

Do Not Fight Inside the Car

When you rent a limo for a special event, there is a huge possibility that you’ll be drinking and partying.

However, you need to make sure that your friends do not get too drunk. If they do, they might end up fighting inside the car. If a fight does end up inside the car, you might damage some of the car’s parts. Because of this, you might have to pay an additional fee.

In addition to that, the driver has the right to stop the car and kick you out of it if you become too obnoxious inside the limousine. Thus, you should be wary of this.
